Departure from a point in the city e.g. Festival Hall, Mirabell Palace or at a hotel in the city – then drive over Freisaal Palace with a view of the Benedictine Monastery – Hellbrunner Allee – Frohenburg Palace strong>toHellbrunn<\/strong> Castle with a stopover about 20 minutes to visit the Sound of Music Pavilion<\/strong> and then back to the city with alighting in In the old town here we can also take the Residence Square, St. Peter and Felsenreitschule with us.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Benedictine monastery Nonnberg:
\nHere the nuns sing ‘Maria’<\/p>\n

\u2022 Mirabell Gardens and Mirabell Palace:
\nMaria and the children sing ‘Do-Re-Mi’<\/p>\n

\u2022 Residenzplatz and Residenzbrunnen:
\nMaria crosses the Residenzplatz in the bus on her way from the Nonnberg Monastery to the Trapp Villa and sings ‘I have confidence in me’<\/p>\n

\u2022 Rock riding school:
\nHere the Trapp family sings their farewell song in the film and the Baron sings his “Edelweiss Song”.<\/p>\n

\u2022 St. Peter’s Cemetery:
\nThe dramatic escape scenes were filmed here<\/p>\n

\u2022 Leopoldskron Castle:
\nThe sea-facing facade represented Baron von Trapp’s house in the film<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Sound of Music Pavilion:
\nis now located in the park of Hellbrunn Palace, but in the film it was still located at Leopoldskron Palace. One of the most famous scenes was recorded here: ‘I am 16 going on 17’<\/p>\n

\u2022 Frohnburg Castle:
\nThe courtyard and front served as a backdrop for the Trapp family’s villa<\/p>\n

Further scenes from “The Sound of Music” were filmed outside the city, including in Anif Castle, Hohenwerfen Castle, Mondsee, Fuschl, St. Gilgen, St. Wolfgang.<\/p>\n

When visiting Salzburg, guests from all over the world take advantage of the opportunity to visit the locations where the film \u201cThe Sound of Music\u201d was filmed.
